At LJ’s Handyman Service, we believe that building strong communities goes far beyond job sites and tool belts. It’s about showing up, supporting local organizations, and creating opportunities for connection; which is why we were so proud to sponsor a special night with the Bellingham Bells this summer.

Bellingham Bells, a collegiate summer baseball team competing in the West Coast League, bring energy, fun, and community spirit to Joe Martin Field every summer. We were thrilled to be a part of that atmosphere, celebrating a team that represents the heart of Bellingham and offering our support from the sidelines.

Our crew had a fantastic time engaging with families, chatting with community members, and handing out fun swag at our booth. From kids playing cornhole and winning prizes to cheering on the Bells with sweet treats in hand, the evening was a perfect reminder of why we love being part of this community.

A special highlight of the evening was seeing the Whatcom County Mudcats 10U Team, whom we proudly sponsor, take the field with the Bells players. From throwing out the first pitch to sharing high-fives and smiles, it was an unforgettable experience for those young athletes; one we were honored to help make possible.

We also had the unique opportunity to shine a little spotlight on LJ’s during the game. One of our owners, Will Fairey, was invited to join the Bells broadcast team for an interview at the bottom of the 5th inning. It was a fun moment to hear Will share more about what we do, how we support the community, and what drives our team. Getting a behind-the-scenes look at the ballpark operations and seeing the game from up above in the press box, added a whole new layer of appreciation. Will had a great time meeting the Bells’ team, chatting with the crew, and experiencing the energy from a different angle.
